body. This class is great for building core strength. Power Yoga is a great way to
prepare for the coming day as well as for burning off the excess energy and stress that we
can accumulate as a result of living in an over-stimulated culture.
Integral Yoga: A flexible combination of specific methods designed to develop every
aspect of the individual: physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual. Integral Yoga is a
system which integrates the various branches of yoga in order to bring about a complete
and harmonious development of the individual. The goal of the Integral yogi is to have an
easeful body, a peaceful mind, and a useful life. Integral Yoga is the perfect system for
those interested in a gentle, non-competitive approach to yoga for peace of mind and
well-being. An Integral Yoga class includes chanting, breathwork, and meditation, as
well as physical poses.
Yin Yoga: To encourage all of us to express ourselves through the practice of yoga. Yin
Yoga is a system that recognizes that we are all anatomically very different and helps us
to discover our individuality and to find joy in being unique. Poses are generally held for
longer periods of time to bring flexibility to the ligaments and tendons in a safe,
controlled manner. If you are interested in a more traditional practice of yoga, Yin Yoga
is the way to go.
Vinyasa Flow: An energetic form of yoga emphasizes the breath as the medium to
regulate tho movement in and out of various poses. We currently offer beginners &
"advanced beginners" Vinyasa Flow classes. We recommend the beginners class for
anyone who has practiced hatha yoga for less than 1 month or for those interested in a
slightly slower paced Vinyasa session.
Alchemical Yoga: A system designed by Adam based on his years of study of Yoga and
Ayurveda. Alchemical Yoga incorporates the stimulation of various marma points
(similar to acupuncture points) through the different yoga poses to balance the subtle
energies of the body. The goal of Alchemical Yoga is to detoxify and rejuvenate the
body while opening the subtle energetic pathways which the life force flows through.
Enjoy increased energy, mental clarity, and a long lasting sense of improved overall
well-being.
Restorative Yoga: A gentle practice perfect for those who wish to nurture their mind
and body. This class incorporates supportive props like bolsters and blankets to help us
let go and breathe a little easier. Restorative yoga is perfect for anyone who suffers with
chronic ailments such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue
Syndrome, etc. If you want to be kind to your body and nurture your spirit, Restorative
Yoga class is the ideal destination.
Deep Relaxation & Meditation: Take time to find a little piece of paradise within. This
class starts with a 30 minute Yoga Nidra (Deep Relaxation) session where we will
rhythmically tense and relax various parts of the body while laying in a resting pose.
This is followed by a period of guided relaxation where we go into a state of physical
sleep while remaining mentally alert. This practice gives the mind and body the
equivalent of nearly half a nights sleep. Next we will enjoy a few minutes of gentle
movement and breathwork to prepare for a sitting meditation practice.
